Albion Golf Cars signs sponsorship agreement with Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha for 2017 MX1 Nationals

Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha’s Andre Laurin is pleased to announce the signing of a sponsorship agreement with Albion Golf Cars for the 2017 Rockstar Energy Drink CMRC Motocross Nationals. The Toronto-based company will supply the team with two golf cars, which will be used at the ten national motocross rounds to ferry team staff as well as VIP guests around the venues.

“As anybody who spends a weekend at a motocross national knows there’s a lot of shuffling around, in the paddock, to and from the track, and so forth. We at Rockstar OTSFF Yamaha are quite energy and environment conscious so acquiring on-site transportation vehicles that are battery operated is a logical step forward,” said Laurin. “We’re delighted to have reached a sponsorship agreement with Albion, as their golf cars more than meet our needs. Their reputation for quality product and service is impeccable. Their corporate clients are impressive and we’re happy to be a part of that family.”

Albion Golf Cars, founded in 1973, is an all-Canadian, family owned and operated business. Contrary to the company’s name, it is more than just about golf cars. In addition to providing an array of various carts – both passenger and utility – to Ontario’s major concert, TV and film production companies, and broadcasting giants including TSN, CBC, CBS, NBC, TBS, Fox Sports and ESPN, Albion provides product and services to Toronto Pearson International Airport, Air Canada (nationwide), and Toronto Ground Air Services. Albion is well represented in the world of sports as the official carts provider for the Honda Indy Toronto and professional organizations including MLSE, CFL, MLB, NHL, Golf Canada, PGA Tour and NBA.

“Although we’re no strangers to co-branding with sports endeavours, motocross is something new for us and we’re excited to be involved with the Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha team for the 2017 nationals. Our sponsorship with the team will expose us to a young audience we normally wouldn’t be exposed to,” said Peter Butler, President of Albion Golf Cars. “When the opportunity came up for us to be involved, we could see the fit right away. Branding and business aside, we consider this a fun adventure for us and are looking forward to the racing season.”

The ten-round 2017 Rockstar Energy Drink CMRC Motocross Nationals kick of Sunday, June 4th at Whispering Pines Raceway, Kamloops, British Columbia and conclude Sunday, August 13th at RJ Motosport Park, Barrie, Ontario.
